Day four of summer sailing came with wet and stormy summer conditions. Sailors go on the water when it’s rainy, but when there’s lightening in the area the water is not safe! Summer storms are unpredictable so we play it safe and stay inside when there is a potential for lightening.
Today, your new sailors played fun games including knot tying, sailor hangman, and Captain’s Coming! Adler even built his own paper Opti!
Although, the kids didn’t get out on the water much, they still learned about sailing on land. Understanding sailing off the water is just as important as it is on the water! Coaches reviewed topics like parts of the boat, points of sail, how to read the wind on the water and more!
Exciting news! Check out these awesome bags and water bottles that just came in for the summer sailors! On the last day of camp the sailors will get some great take home gifts!
