In the Summer of 2019, Galarce joined the LYC coaching staff as the Bronze Fleet coach developing sailors from Green Fleet into Championship Fleet.

Coach Galarce earned his USCG Master Captain credentials in 2022.

Galarce continues to pursue his passion for the sport, employing his unique motivational methodology, and a commitment to constant, high-level improvement in the tradecraft of both sailing and coaching, to raise future cohorts of champion sailors. Galarce is excited to take on the new role of Green Fleet Head Coach to train emerging sailors transitioning from summer camp to the Green Fleet race course.
