Lil’ Optis is a beginner-level, year-round program that builds on the foundation introduced in Mercury Mentors and serves as a bridge between our Learn to Sail summer classes and the Optimist Green Fleet Sailing Team.
This program is ideal for sailors who aged out Mercury Mentors but aren’t quite ready for the full independence and competitive structure of Green Fleet. It is designed to help young sailors build confidence, develop key skills, prepare to sail independently and introduce them to the rules of the waterway and the fundamentals of regatta preparation.
Lil’ Optis is offered during the Spring and Fall seasons, providing ongoing opportunities for growth and development.
