With the morning being quite stormy the kids were able to learn all of LYC’s rules and games. They were taught one of our camp favorite’s “Captain’s Coming”. Our take on the game “Simon Says” involves boat terms, allowing for the kids to learn the basic vocabulary for sailing while getting their energy out! In the afternoon the Beginner Opti and Green Fleet groups were able to get down to the pool and complete their capsize and swim test! With 5 steps to capsizing, the sailors demonstrated their in class knowledge on a boat in the pool! We hope the rest of the week is nice and sunny, see you all tomorrow!
