Day 8 Session 1- Summer Sailing Camp

We were unsure what the weather would be on day eight, and up to right before camp started there was a 65% chance of rain, which usually means it’s probably going to rain and bring our old, dear friend- lightning. Well, the forecast dropped in rain chances in the morning so we did the summer camp favorite Whiskey Creek Excursion. We did a nature hike and saw some animals, even a manatee! There was even some team building with the sailors making a giant rock castle. We finished it off with a swim and headed back to LYC for lunch.

The afternoon had lightning too close to LYC to go sailing so the Green Fleeters had a breakout session with Lucy to go over starting and body positioning more. Opti LTS also had a starting and racing primer to get ready for future sailing.
